...PERIOD OF HEAVY SNOW POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY...
A POWERFUL STORM SYSTEM IS FORECAST TO AFFECT THE REGION TUESDAY INTO
WEDNESDAY. RAIN...POSSIBLY HEAVY AT TIMES...IS LIKELY TUESDAY AND
TUESDAY NIGHT. STRONG NORTHERLY WINDS WEDNESDAY MORNING WILL USHER IN
COLDER AIR...POSSIBLY CHANGING THE RAIN OVER TO WET SNOW. PRESENT
INDICATIONS ARE THAT THE MOST LIKELY AREA AND TIMING FOR A CHANGE
OVER TO SNOW WOULD BE NORTH OF HIGHWAY 60 BETWEEN 6AM AND NOON
WEDNESDAY.
THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR SEVERAL HOURS OF HEAVY WET SNOW
WEDNESDAY...AND WHEN COMBINED WITH STRONG NORTHERLY WINDS COULD LEAD
REDUCED VISIBILITIES MAKING TRAVEL DIFFICULT. THE GROUND IS STILL
VERY WARM...WHICH WILL SIGNIFICANTLY CUT DOWN ON SNOW ACCUMULATIONS.
HOWEVER...IF THE SNOW DOES INDEED FALL HEAVILY ENOUGH...THEN A COUPLE
INCHES OF SLUSHY ACCUMULATION WOULD BE POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY...WITH SOME
ACCUMULATION EVEN POSSIBLE ON ROADWAYS.
THE FORECAST TRACK AND INTENSITY OF THE STORM SYSTEM COULD STILL
CHANGE...AND ANY SMALL DEVIATION IN THE FORECAST COULD LEAD TO MORE
SNOWFALL OR NO SNOW AT ALL. GIVEN THE HOLIDAY AND POTENTIAL IMPACTS
OF THIS STORM...PERSONS PLANNING TRAVEL ON WEDNESDAY SHOULD CLOSELY
MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND OUTLOOKS ON THIS DEVELOPING STORM SYSTEM.
NOW I am really homesick *pouts*
